Museu Calouste Gulbenkian (Calouste Gulbenkian Museum) is an exhibition hall in Lisbon, Portugal, containing an accumulation of old, and some cutting edge craftsmanship. The historical center was established by Gulbenkian’s last will, to suit and presentation Gulbenkian’s specialty gathering having a place now to the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.

The area starts with work in ivory and enlightened composition books, emulated by a determination of fifteenth, sixteenth and seventeenth century figures and paintings.
Renaissance craftsmanship created in Holland, Flanders, France and Italy is on presentation in the following room. French eighteenth century embellishing expressions have an uncommon place in the historical center with exceptional gold and silver articles and furniture, and additionally artistic creations and figures. These embellishing expressions are trailed by displays showing an expansive gathering of artworks by the Venetian Francesco Guardi, eighteenth and nineteenth century English depictions, lastly a sublime accumulation of gems and glass by René Lalique, showed in its own room.
The museum is one of the less known gems in Europe. Gulbenkian’s proverb was “Just the best”, and thus the exhibition hall has gems by western European specialists as Domenico Ghirlandaio, Rubens, Rembrandt, Rodin, Carpeaux, Houdon, Renoir, Dierick Bouts, Vittore Carpaccio, Cima da Conegliano, Van Dyck, Corot, Degas, Nattier, George Romney, Stefan Lochner, Maurice-Quentin de La Tour, Édouard Manet, Henri Fantin-Latour, Claude Monet, Jean-François Millet, Sir Edward Burne-Jones, Thomas Gainsborough, Joseph Mallord William Turner, Jean-Honoré Fragonard, Giovanni Battista Moroni, Frans Hals, Ruisdael, Boucher, Largillière, Andrea della Robbia, Pisanello, Jean-Baptiste Pigalle, Antonio Rossellino, André-Charles Boulle, Charles Cressent, Oeben, Riesener, Antoine-Sébastien Durand, Charles Spire, Jean Deforges, François-Thomas Germain, and numerous others.
Some of the works in the gathering were purchased amid the Soviet offer of Hermitage paintings.
Of the around 6000 things in the gallery’s accumulations a choice of around 1000 is in lasting exhibition.
